Personal Experience & Biography

I specialize in helping individuals who have faced significant challenges in life, such as trauma, addiction, and the struggles that often come with reintegrating into society after incarceration. I understand that healing is a deeply personal journey, and I create a safe, non-judgmental space where my clients can explore and work through their experiences at their own pace. My focus is on building trust, so that together, we can address the root causes of pain and work toward long-lasting healing and growth.

For those dealing with trauma, I utilize evidence-based approaches to help individuals process past experiences, overcome feelings of powerlessness, and reclaim a sense of control. I tailor my methods to meet each person’s needs, whether they are struggling with PTSD, anxiety, or the lingering emotional impact of traumatic events. My goal is to guide clients through their healing process and help them rebuild their lives with healthier coping mechanisms and emotional resilience.

When it comes to addiction, I provide a compassionate and understanding approach to those who are looking to break free from harmful patterns. I know how challenging addiction recovery can be, especially when navigating feelings of shame or isolation. I work closely with my clients to develop personalized coping strategies and create a recovery plan that honors their unique experiences. For formerly incarcerated individuals, I offer support in adjusting to life after prison, helping them manage the obstacles they face in re-entering society, and providing resources that can aid in their successful reintegration. Whether through rebuilding self-esteem or learning to set achievable goals, I am here to help my clients thrive in their new beginnings.

A session with me is dynamic and personalized because I adapt to your needs and meet you exactly where you are in your journey. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or ready to tackle challenges head-on, I adjust my approach to suit your energy and goals for the session. You’ll find that I create a space where you can feel safe being yourself, yet encouraged to grow and explore new possibilities. My adaptability allows me to connect with you in a way that feels authentic and supportive, no matter what you’re bringing to the table.

I bring a courageous and confident energy to every session, which helps create an environment of trust and empowerment. My confidence doesn’t mean I have all the answers for you—it means I believe in your ability to find them within yourself. I’m not afraid to ask the tough questions or challenge unhelpful patterns in a way that’s compassionate but direct. This courage allows us to dive deep into areas that might feel uncomfortable at first, knowing that the work we’re doing together is moving you toward healing and growth.

You’ll also notice that my active personality keeps our sessions engaging and purposeful. I believe in taking meaningful steps forward, so I’m always ready to help you explore actionable strategies and practical tools that can make a difference in your life right now. Whether we’re focusing on coping skills, setting goals, or processing difficult emotions, you’ll leave each session feeling like progress has been made. My energy is focused on helping you create momentum, so every session feels like a step closer to the life you’re striving to build.

Clients keep coming back to me because they feel truly understood and valued in our sessions. My personality is warm, open, and nonjudgmental, which creates a space where clients feel safe being their authentic selves. I actively listen to their stories, offering not just guidance but genuine empathy. My openness to both listen and talk means that clients feel heard while also receiving thoughtful feedback and encouragement. They know I’m not here to judge them but to support them in their growth, no matter where they are in their journey. This trust and understanding keep our connection strong and meaningful over time.
What also resonates deeply with my clients is that I’m walking proof that change and growth are possible.

As someone in recovery and formerly incarcerated, I bring a unique perspective that many find inspiring and relatable. I understand the challenges they’re facing because I’ve faced them too. This shared experience helps me connect with clients on a deeper level, giving them hope that they, too, can overcome their struggles. They see my resilience and openness as a testament to what’s achievable, and that gives them confidence in the work we’re doing together.
