I am a Certified Social Worker with experience with foster care children and adolescents. I specialize in providing my clients with practical coping skills and behavior management through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help manage their aversive behaviors/symptoms. No one person is the same therefore, the same coping mechanisms will not work for everyone. I utilize resources to help find the skills that are most effective for my clients. I will provide my clientele with a safe place to use these potential coping skills and continue to learn the best ways to implement those skills outside our sessions.
A session with me will consist of a positive, empathic, and non-judgmental environment. I work to build a strong rapport with my clients to help provide them with a comfortable environment where they feel secure and relaxed. I provide a friendly demeanor in hopes of creating a safe environment also where clients feel they can be open with me.
I create a beneficial therapeutic environment for my clients while also building a positive relationship with them. I believe having a strong rapport with clients can give them the comfort they need to be open and receptive to new ideas to potentially implement into their lives. I build a foundation centered around the client where we both learn new things about them and encourage them to find their strengths.
